A Historic First in Madrid
World Chase Tag® is making history in Spain this October. From the 10th to the 26th, the famous La Vaguada Shopping Mall in Madrid will host more than two weeks of action, discovery and competition on the latest version of our 8x8 meter Quad™. By opening its doors to World Chase Tag®, La Vaguada is offering visitors the chance to experience the world’s fastest growing sport right in the heart of the capital. This marks the first ever World Chase Tag® event in Madrid and already promises to be the most ambitious one we have ever organised in Spain.
Open Access for Everyone
For over a two weeks, the Quad™ will be available to all those who walk through La Vaguada. On weekdays, activities will run from five in the afternoon until nine at night, while weekends will extend the schedule with both morning and evening sessions. These open access periods will let anyone try the sport for the first time, train under the guidance of professionals, and test themselves in one-on-one rounds that feed directly into the official global ELO ranking. La Vaguada’s visitors will not only discover something new, they will also become part of an international community where every chase counts.
Professional Chase-Off™ Exhibition
The opening weekend on October 11 and 12 will set the tone with something very special. La Vaguada will welcome professional athletes and teams for an Team Chase-Off™ exhibition competition, broadcast live, using the official format seen on television around the world. It will be the first time fans in Madrid can watch top-level athletes perform at such close range, transforming the mall into a true arena for the sport.
The Grand Finale: 1v1 ELO Competition
The closing weekend on October 25 and 26 will see La Vaguada become the stage for the highest level of competition. After two weeks of training and open play, the best performers will return for a one-versus-one ELO tournament. This final tournament will not only bring prestige but also offer exceptional rewards. Top athletes will receive tickets to the next World Chase Tag® Championships, with transport and accommodation included. Other prizes will feature exclusive meet and greets with professional players, signed jerseys and backstage access to a major WCT event.
