Standard License starts at ~€560 total (license + certification). Official License with a 12m Quad™ starts around €43,000 including equipment, certification, and first year license. The Quad™ can be purchased from WCT or self-built under license.
The license type depends on whether you operate with a Quad™. Any organisation operating with an official Quad™ must get an Official License as well as Level 2 certification for coaches. Organisations operating without an official Quad™ (parks, youth clubs, gyms, etc.) need a Standard License and Level 1 certification for coaches.
Hold and stage events (not part of the WCT Event Pyramid), use official rules and regulations, record and transmit audio-visual content*, supply tickets, commercialise data from activities, provide Chase Tag® classes, be listed on the Licensee Directory, sell WCT-approved merchandise*, and develop alternative revenue streams*. (*Subject to restrictions and/or WCT LLC approval)
Everything in the Standard License, plus: use the WCT® brand for promotion and commercialisation*, host Regional Qualifiers under WCT LLC supervision*, assemble and maintain the Quad™, use specific WCT names for business activities, sell advertisement space*, procure sponsor agreements*, and referee pick. No, this is a licensing model, not a franchise. A franchise typically requires strict operational systems, ongoing revenue royalties, and unified brand identity. A license grants permission to use WCT® trademarks and methodology while running your own independent business. You own and operate your organisation — we provide the brand, training, and support. Licensees must follow brand guidelines. The license is renewed annually unless there is a breach of contract.
Yes. You are licensing the World Chase Tag® name and making it legal to use that name. Whether you're making a profit or not, we still require a license.
Yes, we do not limit the number of licensees in any given area. However, being first in your market gives you significant advantage in building the local Chase Tag® community.
Standard License requires Foundation + Level 1 certification (€450 total). Official License requires Foundation + Level 1 + Level 2 (€1,150 total). Courses run throughout the year at wct-certifications.com.
No. Only World Chase Tag® LLC and its partners can provide certification to coaches. Anyone coaching a World Chase Tag® class must hold a current WCT Certification. Level 2 certification is mandatory to coach on the official Quad™.

Yes! We encourage licensees to hold competitions. When naming your event, avoid using "World Chase Tag®" with any country name or area over 1M inhabitants. Don't use official event naming (e.g., WCT7). "Flight Club" events require prior approval. This avoids confusion between official and unofficial events. Run a great event, have fun, and send us photos!
The Standard and Official License Agreements are the main licenses. There is also a Broadcast License Agreement for organising national championships and/or television broadcasting. This must be discussed and constructed jointly with WCT LLC. Contact us for more information.
Licensees must follow brand guidelines, maintain valid coach certifications, and respect all contractual obligations including NDAs. Licensees must work in the spirit of growing the sport — not bad-mouth the organisation, brand, fellow licensees, or teams. We do not tolerate actions that stir drama or create problematic situations for athletes, participants, staff, or anyone in the WCT community. We promote a positive environment and will not accept harassment or bad behaviour. The license is renewed annually. Non-compliance may result in non-renewal.
