The WCT7 U.S. Championship took place this past weekend, July 12–13, at Dexterity Depot in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania and it delivered one of the most competitive and unpredictable World Chase Tag® events the United States has ever seen.
With qualification spots for the WCT7 World Championship on the line, 8 Open Division teams and 4 Women’s Division teams stepped in the Quad™ to claim the title of 2025 US Champion.
This year marked a significant milestone: the first full Nationals season structured through licensed World Chase Tag® gyms and partners, with qualifiers hosted on both coasts. The journey began with the West Coast Qualifier at MVMNTM Concord (CA) and the East Coast Qualifier at NYX Training Center (GA), setting the stage for an electrifying national final.

Open Division: NYX Takes the Crown in a Stacked Field
The Open Division featured an intense group stage followed by high-stakes knockout rounds.

Group A:
- Dexterity Depot (PA, home team, East Coast winner)
- NYX (GA, featuring WCT veterans Matthew Hall, Nick Amblo & Michael Frazier)
- Vanguard (CA, training out of MVMNTM)
- Second State Squonks (PA, local wildcard team)

Group B:
- Tempest (CA, West Coast winner, WCT veterans)
- Nimbus (DC, formerly APK Blue, WCT6 Worlds contenders)
- APEX Moon (multi-time U.S. & World Champion, including WCT5 Worlds title)
- 215 (PA team, strong regional contender)
The group stage saw several major upsets with APEX Moon, the reigning WCT6 U.S. Champion, being eliminated after losing to both 215 and Nimbus and Vanguard and Squonks each pushing established teams to the edge.
Semi-Finals:
- Dexterity Depot 2 – 0 Nimbus
- NYX 1 – 0 215
3rd Place Playoff (Worlds Qualification Match):
Nimbus clinched the final automatic U.S. spot for WCT7 Worlds by defeating 215 (2-1) in an intense match of Chase Tag®.
Grand Final:
NYX 2 – 0 Dexterity Depot
In a hard-fought and strategic final, NYX emerged as the new U.S. Champion. Their squad filled with elite-level tag IQ, discipline, and raw skill. Learning from their mistake during the group stage where they lost against Dexterity Depot (0-1), they regrouped and found their way to the final victory.
Women’s Division: Anarchy Finally Seals the Title

The Women’s Division featured four teams in a round-robin battle:
- Kunoichi (WCT6 U.S. Champion, WCT6 Worlds runner-up)
- Anarchy (GA, joined this season by French star Eva Yamani, WCT6 France Champion & BOB)
- Dexterity Vortex (local newcomers)
- APEX Venom (new team from Colorado)
The competition came down to the final match, a de facto title decider between Kunoichi and Anarchy. Anarchy rose to the occasion with a dominant 3-0 win, thanks to coordinated strategies and standout performances. Kunoichi didn’t go down without a fight including a highlight tag from Caitlyn Bergstrom-Wright, who sustained a cut during the action but continued bravely. Still, it wasn’t enough to turn the tide.
Anarchy are the new WCT7 U.S. Women’s Champions, their first national title.
A New Era for Chase Tag in the USA
The WCT7 US Final was not just a championship, it was a turning point for World Chase Tag® in the United States. With the implementation of licensed partners and regional qualifiers, this season offered athletes structure, clarity, and a real pathway to Worlds.
The level of competition was higher than ever. Multiple veteran teams were eliminated in group stages, proving that the U.S. scene is evolving fast and new teams are closing the gap.
Both winning teams, NYX and Anarchy, train out of the NYX Training Center in Georgia, which now establishes itself as a national powerhouse in Chase Tag®.
Broadcast & Next Steps
The entire event was broadcast live in English on WCT's YouTube channel, with commentary by TurndownforWalt and Jake Migliorato, a Chase Tag® veteran and former captain of GNF. The event drew over 12,000 live viewers, and highlights, short-form content, and analysis are on the way.
Next stop: the WCT7 World Championship in Q4 2025, at Les Arènes, Evry-Courcouronnes (France).
