A Landmark for World Chase Tag® in Spain

World Chase Tag® has taken a major step forward in Spain with the delivery of the first official Quad™ to a Spanish licensee. Motion Academy, one of the leading organisations for Parkour in the country, has partnered with Vella Escola to bring the sport into new territory. Together, they received an official 8x8 meters Quad™ which will be used for events across Spain before eventually finding its permanent home in one of Motion Academy’s gyms.

This delivery marks the beginning of a new chapter for World Chase Tag® in Spain, as local organisations join forces with the global sport to create opportunities for athletes, fans and newcomers alike.

Santiago de Compostela Welcomes the First Event

The brand-new Quad™ was put to immediate use at the Compostela Street Festival, held in Santiago de Compostela from September 19 to 21. This vibrant festival celebrates urban culture and action sports, making it the perfect stage for the debut of World Chase Tag® in Spain.

Throughout the weekend, visitors experienced the Quad™ for the first time in an atmosphere alive with music, freestyle demonstrations, breaking, beatbox, street workout, pump track, street football, basketball 3x3, skate, street art and a bustling street market. The energy of the festival matched perfectly with the intensity of Chase Tag, drawing large crowds to watch, learn and even try their hand at the game of speed and strategy.

Motion Academy and Vella Escola Lead the Way

By securing the first official Quad™ in Spain, Motion Academy and Vella Escola are taking a leading role in developing World Chase Tag® across the region. With years of experience in Parkour training and event organisation, Motion Academy has established itself as a key institution for movement sports in Spain.

Coaches from Motion Academy have already completed their Level 1 World Chase Tag® certification online, a program soon to be made available in Spanish to make it even more accessible across the country. Their development will continue in October during the major Madrid event at La Vaguada Mall, where they will join the Level 2 certification. They will also play a hands-on role in delivering initiations and helping run operations, becoming a driving force in the push to grow World Chase Tag® in Spain.
