A New Step in a Global Journey

World Chase Tag® continues to expand across continents, with new Quads™, new countries joining, appearance on a major Netflix show and a growing calendar of events and Chase Off™ competitions. In the midst of this busy year Russia has now hosted its first ever World Chase Tag® event.

The debut took place in the heart of Moscow as part of a large summer festival that combined sport, culture and technology. Thanks to the vision and commitment of Oleg Krasnianskii and his organisation tracers.ru, World Chase Tag® was presented to the Russian public on a grand scale.

A Festival of Movement

The festival itself was one of the most ambitious urban sports gatherings in Europe this year. Spread across several months in the centre of Moscow, it featured parkour structures as high as buildings, a replica of the famous Dame du Lac from the city of Evry-Courcouronnes in France, towering five-metre sculptures, VR and Ninja Warrior experiences and, for the very first time, a World Chase Tag® 12x12m Quad™.

Over the course of the event, more than 400,000 visitors came to the festival and discovered the sports present. They took part in initiations, joined games on the Quad™, watched exhibitions and shows, and connected with athletes from different backgrounds. For many, it was their first encounter with Chase Tag®, and the response highlighted just how universal and accessible the sport can be.

Building Bridges Through Sport

On September 13 and 14, a delegation from France, including athletes from professional team Parkour59 and Licensing Manager Loïc Ascarino travelled to Moscow to meet the local organisers, connect with authorities, and explore the best ways to support the growth of World Chase Tag® in the region. The French athletes also shared their experience with workshops for local practitioners and joined a Chase-Off™ competition against the top Russian teams.

These exchanges underlined what makes World Chase Tag® unique. It is not only a sport but also a common ground where athletes and fans can connect beyond borders, languages or backgrounds. In a time when international relations can often be strained, sport continues to offer a positive space where people can challenge themselves, support each other and celebrate shared values of respect, creativity and fair play.

Looking Forward

The Moscow event represents an important first step. The enthusiasm shown by the public, the dedication of the local organisers, and the talent already emerging from Russian athletes suggest a promising future. With time and development, there is no doubt that a Russian team will one day step onto the world stage and when they do, they will have the ability to challenge even the most experienced teams in World Chase Tag®.

World Chase Tag® remains committed to promoting an active lifestyle and bringing people together through play, movement and competition. Wherever the Quad™ is installed, the goal is always the same: to inspire, to connect and to let people see the best in each other.
